HOW TO VERIFY YOUR WEBSITE WITH GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, META, AND OTHER SERVICES
SOMETIMES A SERVICE — GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE, BING WEBMASTER TOOLS, META BUSINESS, OR AN SEO OR MARKETING TOOL — WILL ASK YOU TO VERIFY THAT YOU OWN YOUR WEBSITE BEFORE IT WILL CONNECT.
Because eBizAutos hosts and manages your website, the fastest and safest way to do this is to send the verification code to our support team and we'll add it for you.
You don't need to log in to GoDaddy or your domain registrar to do this. In most cases, trying to add it there yourself won't work, because the website is managed on our side.
What to do
- When the service gives you a verification code, copy it. It usually looks like one of these:
google-site-verification=AbC123...<meta name="msvalidate.01" content="AbC123..." />facebook-domain-verification=AbC123...
- Contact eBizAutos support and send us:
- Your dealership name and website (for example,
example.com) - The service that's asking for verification (Google, Bing, Meta, or the name of the tool)
- The verification code or tag
- Your dealership name and website (for example,
- We'll add it to your website and let you know when it's live — usually the same business day.
- Finish verifying on the service's side. Go back to the service, choose the HTML tag verification method, and click Verify. It should pass right away.
Why we add it for you
Your verification code goes directly into your website, which we manage. That means we can add it quickly and confirm it's working, and it won't interfere with your email or domain settings. Adding codes through your domain registrar instead can be slower, often won't work while we manage the site, and sits right next to the settings that keep your email running — so we keep it simple by handling it on the website itself.
If the service asks for a "DNS" or "TXT" record
Many tools offer more than one way to verify. If you're given a choice, pick the HTML tag (also called "meta tag") option — that's the one we add for you.
- For Google Search Console: add your site as a URL prefix property (for example,
https://www.example.com) and choose HTML tag. Avoid the Domain property, which only works with a DNS record. - If your tool only offers a DNS or TXT record with no other option, that's fine — just let support know and we'll add the DNS record for you.
Common verification codes
| Service | What the code looks like |
|---|---|
| Google Search Console | google-site-verification=... |
| Bing Webmaster Tools | <meta name="msvalidate.01" content="..."> |
| Meta Business (Facebook / Instagram) | facebook-domain-verification=... |
<meta name="p:domain_verify" content="..."> |
Verifying for email or Microsoft 365 is different
If you're being asked to verify your domain for email or Microsoft 365 — rather than your website — that's a separate setup that uses a DNS record. It's still something we handle for you: just contact support and we'll take care of it.
What to send support
- Your dealership name and website (for example,
example.com) - The service requesting verification
- The verification code or tag
Send those over and we'll add it and confirm when it's ready to verify.
